The Curves Strong Women Challenge

The Curves Strong Women Challenge is our way of recognizing, rewarding and celebrating the women of Curves.

Each of our Curves Strong Women has a unique personal journey and we invite them to share their stories to inspire thousands more women out there who are looking for help with achieving a healthier lifestyle. Curves is more than just fitness or wellness. Curves offers women a supportive environment where they can concentrate on their goals. The North American Curves Strong Women will be determined from the finalists in each category. Three runner ups and three honorable mentions will be selected from each category. Winners will be announced by December 31, 2016 after the judging period closes.

Entry Categories

Inspirational Curves Strong Women of the Year – A Curves member who has transformed her life through Curves Complete and/or Curves Fitness membership. This member has overcome significant challenges and obstacles in her life to achieve where she is today. Weight loss or better health must have been achieved and maintained within the period 01/01/2015-11/11/16. Members must have 10 consecutive weeks of 3 workouts per week.** The winner of this section will not be judged on weight loss alone but also on the personal journey that is shared on the application form*. A full body before picture must be submitted, along with an after picture taken by a coach in a designated area of the Curves club.

Healthy Curves Strong Women of the Year – A Curves member who, during the period 01/01/2015-11/11/16 has overcome a health ailment(s) and has maintained healthy living with Curves Complete and/or regular exercise at Curves*. Members must have 10 consecutive weeks of 3 workouts per week.** Curves may require proof of pre-existing medical conditions and current health in order to validate the entry. A full body before picture must be submitted, along with an after picture taken by a coach in a designated area of the Curves club.

Transformed Curves Strong Women of the Year/10 Week Transformation – A Curves member who has experienced a transformation in her physical appearance and/or her attitude and motivation towards a healthy lifestyle in the 10 week challenge period 08/01/16-11/11/16. 10 week challenge period must start by 9/6/16. Members must have 10 consecutive weeks of 3 workouts per week.** The winner of this section will be judged on physical transformation and the personal journey that is shared on the application form*. A full body before picture must be submitted, along with an after picture taken by a coach in a designated area of the Curves club.

How To Enter

Entry is open to general public. Entering is simple. Visit your local Curves to apply. Visit strongwomen.curves.com for more information. Complete an application with your Curves Coach and select which category you would like to be considered for (you can choose multiple or ALL). Attach a before and after photo of yourself (this is mandatory and we recommend you take this in front of a white door with sufficient light for consistency).

As part of your application you will be asked to share your story in no more than 500 words. You can use the questions provided to help you write your story.

Tell us what motivated you to join Curves. Was it a comment, situation, photo, doctor’s visit, etc. that made you take the first step? What were your goals at the start?

What did you like about and learn from your Curves program and your fitness coaches?

What activity were you doing, if any, before starting Curves and how did it increase throughout your weight loss to now?

Do you or your family members (parents, grandparents, siblings, etc.) have any heart disease or risks such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart attacks, stroke, etc. which had you concerned about your own risk?

How have your health, energy and lifestyle improved since joining Curves? What things are you enjoying now that your fitness level is improved? What accomplishments are you especially proud of?

Finally……is there anything else that you would like to share?

Along with your success story, please send a BEFORE and AFTER photo (full length if possible) of yourself to show your transformation.

Remember this is what you will be judged upon so please include as much detail as you are willing to offer. Note: excerpts from your story may be posted online. Please read though all of the Official Rules before you enter. All entries must be accurate and submitted in good faith. One entry per category is permitted per member. Members may be considered for multiple categories, as indicated at time of entry.

Sponsor reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries, (including their identity and age) and to disqualify any entrants whose entry is not submitted in accordance with these Official Rules or who tamper with the entry process. Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid. Errors and omissions will be accepted at the Sponsor’s discretion. Failure by the Sponsor to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
