Jillian’s Blog: What Motivates YOU?

As you are looking to get back in shape, remember that Curves Workouts with Jillian Michaels are designed for every fitness level, so no matter what shape you’re in, you can do them. But I’m not going to lie to you, these workouts are tough. I want these exercises to transform your physique. Literally, I want you to be in the best shape of your life. So the workouts aren’t a walk in the park, not for you or for me.

Get comfortable with being uncomfortable. When I’m doing these workouts I’m thinking, ‘Mother of God!’ It’s hard. And there’s never a moment where it’s hard and I’m going, “Oh, I just love this!” Everything hurts.

But, I stay focused on things that will motivate me. I love playing with my kids. And I don’t mean watching them play, I mean playing with them. I try to lead by example by getting active with them.

Tip: To be the best mom, wife, daughter, neighbor, friend and so on, your true obligation is to take care of yourself and lead by example. Whenever someone follows this simple principle things always fall into place.

Before you go workout today or tomorrow, think about what motivates you. Got a bathing suit you want to fit into this summer? Maybe you want a healthy heart and more energy. Whatever gets you going. Keep it in your head and when things get tough on the circuit, think about what motivates you and push harder.

Tip: If you have 30 minutes to work out in a day, give that 30 minutes your all. Put your head 100% into whatever you are doing.
