The next time you’re at Curves or a party, make a point to look around at all the women there and consider these statistics: 1 in 8 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. Among the women you see, perhaps your dearest friend will be that one or maybe it will be you.
The Providence Montana Health Foundation supports patients of Western Montana and their needs by offering direct financial assistance. While they provide for all areas of the hospital, Team Up Montana is the opportunity to focus specifically on helping cancer patients.
Each year, they team up with the University of Montana to host a Pink game recognizing those impacted by cancer, focusing on awareness, prevention, education, treatment resources and hope for those battling the illness. A crowd of nearly 25,000 gathers for the game, decked out in pink attire, honoring the perseverance of survivors during a special pre-game ceremony.
Cancer is a part of everyone’s story and they see its effect on family, friends and themselves each day. Team Up Montana is their response to the hardships that incur as a result of the illness. They are a resource to those who would not be able to keep up financially without extra support. This would not be possible without their incredible community partners who are committed to helping patients of western Montana. But they can’t do it alone. They need you to join the team, because they won’t give up until cancer does.
Team Up Montana has come to the aid of hundreds of patients. The need for financial support grows each year. Join the team and make a gift today at Curves Missoula! When you or a friend joins or rejoins Curves during the month of October, we will donate every penny of that $30* enrollment fee to Team Up Montana
